On Monday 11th January 2010, Marcin Kubiak, Ambassador of Poland for the Southern African region and political and press officer, Andrzej Morstin, visited Matjinge High School in Matebeleland South, Zimbabwe. The diplomats were greeted by the school development committee. The Embassy of Poland last year funded a project, coordinated by Pamela and Spencer Ngwenya of Malinga Productions, to equip the school with almost US$12,000 worth of text books. The school had previously been in dire need of new books and learners are expected to improve their performance as a result. The school committee gratefully received the books and welcomed the Polish contingency with open arms.
